- Valid Passport- passport must be issued in less than 10 years ago. It should carry 2 blank pages and valid for at least 90 days beyond the return date from Italy visit. If you had any previous Schengen visa in the last 3 years, then copies of that must be provided.
- Passport size photographs- A passport sized colored photograph is required with a light background. Photo should be recent, not older than 6 months. It should capture the complete face clearly and non-smiling. The passport sized photograph of the applicant should not be with any sunglasses or head-gear, except religious wear if any.
- Schengen visa application- Fill the Italy Schengen visa application form with complete correction. Any invalid or incorrect information will lead to visa rejection.
- British Residence Permit- British Residence Permit is required for applying visa from UK. BRP should be stamped in the passport or in the form of biometrics card. Present the original BRP as well as the copy of it.
- Travel insurance- The travel insurance is required to be made on the applicant’s name common for all the Schengen area covering the annual expense for medical risks of minimum 30000 €.
- Proof of accommodation- Confirmed accommodation proof is required stating the name of the applicant of Italy Schengen visa and their address of accommodation.If you are traveling as a group and the accommodation is booked for the entire group, then add a list containing the name of all the group members as mentioned on their travel tickets.

If one is traveling by car then car registration number, car insurance, return travel tickets and driver’s driving license should be provided. - Proof of funds- UK current bank statement is required for past 3 months. The applicant must show the sufficient amount in the bank with at least minimum of 50 € as per day stay in Italy. Traveler’s Cheque is required to submit covering the same amount.

- Employed- Applicants of Italy Schengen visa needs to provide the original signed employment letter which should not be older than a month. The letter should clearly mention the name and position of the applicant, addressing to the mission with the status of the applicant’s employment.
- Self-employed- If you are applying for Italy Schengen visa as a self-employed, you need to provide the original signed self-employment letter, not less than a month. The letter should state the name of the applicant and their status, name of the company/business.
- Retired- Provide the receiving benefits. A recent original letter obtained from the local job center or pension service.
- Domestic worker- Italy Schengen visa applicant’s needs to original and signed employer letter and proof of tax payment or the pay slips along with employer’s passport and ID card.
- Spouse of UK Nationals- In case the trip is sponsored by the spouse or registered partner of UK national, following documents is required-
- Original as well as copy of marriage certificate translated either in English as well as Italian
language.
- Original and copy of spouse passport.
- Proof of occupation of the spouse.
- Proof of funds of spouse.
- Cover letter signed by the spouse.
- A sponsorship certificate.
- Student- A letter from school, university or college is required which should not be older than a month and signed. The letter should contain the name and position of the applicant and confirming their enrollment.
- Minors under the age of 18- Following documents are required for a child below 18 applying for Italy Schengen visa-
- Birth certificate is required mentioning the name of both biological parents.
- A written consent is required which should be signed by both the parents as mentioned in
the birth certificate.
- In case the parent of the child applicant are divorced or any one parent has deceased, then
letter of court order stating the sole custody of the child to one parent, or the death
certificate of the deceased partner is required.
- If the parent of minor have appointed any guardian, then guardianship letter and copy of
guardian’s bio page and signature page is required.
- A sponsorship letter from the parent with their signature is required.
